On April 11, Allay Earhart brings his journey to Handa Wanda’s—the first venue to feature him as an artist and one of the last Black-owned venues still rooted in the community. As New Orleans continues to change and many cultural spaces disappear, this intimate performance is a stand for the places that continue to carry the culture, including Handa Wanda’s role as a gathering space for Mardi Gras Indian tradition. More than a concert, this night is about showing love to the spaces that showed love first and celebrating the living heartbeat of New Orleans culture.
